There is provided a drug dispenser device comprising a housing defining a first chamber; extending from said housing and defining a second open chamber, an outlet for insertion into a body cavity of a patient; provided to said first chamber of the housing, a discharge block defining a discharge block orifice; receivable within the first chamber for movement therewithin, a drug discharge device, said drug discharge device having a longitudinal axis and comprising a container for storing a drug formulation to be dispensed, a discharge mechanism and a discharge channel from said container, wherein said discharge channel is receivable by said discharge block to enable discharge of said drug formulation via said discharge block orifice to said outlet; provided to the housing; and at least one finger operable member moveable to apply a force directly or indirectly to the drug discharge device for movement along the longitudinal axis towards the discharge block to actuate said discharge mechanism. The housing further defines an aperture through which said at least one finger operable member in part protrudes, and wherein the at least one finger operable member is moveable from a rest position in which the at least one finger operable member acts to block off said aperture to an actuating position in which the aperture is unblocked and through which air may be drawn into the housing in response to patient inhalation through the outlet.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif distributeur de médicaments comprenant un boîtier qui définit une première chambre; partant dudit boîtier et définissant une seconde chambre ouverte, une bouche de sortie venant s'insérer dans une cavité corporelle du patient; sur ladite première chambre du boîtier, un bloc de décharge définissant un orifice de décharge; venant se loger dans la première chambre dans laquelle il se déplace, un dispositif de décharge de médicament, lequel dispositif présente un axe longitudinal et comprend un réservoir pour une préparation médicamenteuse à administrer ainsi qu'un mécanisme de décharge et un canal de décharge partant dudit réservoir, ledit canal de décharge pouvant rentrer dans le bloc de décharge pour la libération de ladite préparation médicamenteuse via l'orifice dudit bloc de décharge vers ladite bouche de sortie du boîtier; et au moins un élément commandé par le doigt dont le mouvement permet d'appliquer une force directement ou indirectement sur le dispositif de décharge de médicament selon un déplacement dans le sens longitudinal vers le bloc de décharge qui actionne le mécanisme de décharge. Par ailleurs, le boîtier définit une ouverture par laquelle l'élément commandé par le doigt peut passer d'un position de repos dans laquelle il obture l'ouverture à une position d'actionnement dans laquelle l'ouverture est libérée et permet d'aspirer de l'air dans le boîtier en réponse à l'inhalation du patient par la bouche de sortie.
