Procédé et dispositif (100) pour relier les extrémités de deux assemblages (1A, 1B) de fils (10A, 10B). On soumet les extré- mités des assemblages (1A, 1B) à une opération de détorsion pour séparer les uns des autres les fils (10A1, 10B1) de ces extrémi- tés; on constitue autant de couples de jonction (C) qu'il y a de fils (10A1, 10B1) dans chacun des assemblages (1A, 1B); on provo- que la détorsion des filaments des fils (10A1, 10B1) dans les couples (C), on met côte à côte les parties détordues, dans chaque couple (C), de façon à obtenir une zone de jonction (15); on assemble entre eux par brouillage à l'air les filaments des deux fils (10A1, 10B1), dans chaque zone (15); on assemble entre eux par torsion tous les fils (10A, 10B) ainsi réunis. Assemblages joints ainsi obtenus. Articles, par exemple enveloppes de pneumatiques, renforcés avec ces assemblages.
