A method, and associated apparatus (28), prevents misrouting of packet-data in a radio communication system (10) subsequent to an abnormal communication session termination by a wireless host (14). When a determination is made that a communication session between a wireless host and another host (12) has terminated abnormally, a temporary address (76) used to identify the wireless host is not permitted to be immediately reassigned to identify another wireless host. Misrouting of data to another wireless host subsequent to the abnormal communication session, termination is thereby avoided.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil associé (28) permettant d'éviter, dans un système de radiocommunications (10), l'acheminement erroné des données en paquets faisant suite à une fin anormale d'une session de communication par un hôte sans fil (14). En cas de fin anormale d'une session de communication entre un hôte sans fil et un autre hôte (12), une adresse temporaire (76) servant à identifier l'hôte sans fil ne peut pas être immédiatement réaffectée aux fins d'identification d'un autre hôte sans fil. Cela permet d'éviter l'acheminement erroné de données à un autre hôte sans fil faisant suite à une fin anormale d'une session de communication.
