A power generator which uses as a power supply means a platy solid electrolytic fuel cell in a mode of directly using flame by solid fuel burning. The solid electrolytic fuel cell has a cathode layer formed on one surface of a platy solid electrolytic substrate and an anode layer formed on the surface opposite to the cathode layer. The entire surface of the anode layer is exposed to flame produced by burning a piece of wood as a solid fuel. The cathode layer, facing an atmospheric side oppoite to the flame, is supplied with air. A radical component in the flame reacts with oxygen in the air to produce an electromotive force.

L'invention porte sur un générateur utilisant comme source d'énergie une pile à combustible à électrolyte solide lamellaire utilisant directement la flamme résultant de la combustion de bois. Ladite pile à combustible présente une couche de cathode formée sur l'une des surfaces d'un substrat électrolyte solide lamellaire et dont l'anode est formée sur une surface opposée à la cathode. La totalité de la surface de l'anode est exposée à la flamme produite par la combustion de bois. Le côté de la cathode faisant face à l'atmosphère est alimenté en air et un composant de la flamme réagit avec l'oxygène de l'air pour produire la force électromotrice.
