The invention relates generally to wellbore casings and in particular to wellbore casings that are formed using expandable tubing. One embodiment is directed to a method of coupling a tubular member to a preexisting structure, comprising: positioning the tubular member in an overlapping relationship to the preexisting structure; placing a mandrel within the tubular member; pressurizing an annular region within the tubular member above the mandrel; and displacing the mandrel with respect to the tubular member.
