A selector valve includes an annular body having a sealing surface (22) having a plurality of inlet ports (24). The sealing head (25) carries a seal member (29) which is urged by a spring (30) against the surface (22). The seal member (29) has a sealing face cmprising a central band (31) and lateral area (32 and 33) above and below the band (31). The lateral areas (32 and 33) are reduced in size compared to the area of the band (31).
