Prasugrel hydrochloride reduced in OXTP content. A process for producing prasugrel hydrochloride reduced in OXTP content is provided which comprises dissolving OXTP-containing prasugrel in a free form in an inert solvent and dropwise or otherwise adding hydrochloric acid thereto to react them.
