The invention relates to a process for preparing a composition to be extruded consisting of a polymer and a filler of solid particles, whereby the filler of solid particles is mixed with particles or granules of the said polymer, as appropriate, in the form of an aqueous suspension. The invention is particularly simple and produces a final material with better mechanical properties than those obtained by direct incorporation of the solid filler into the polymer or copolymer. This improvement is very sensitive particularly in terms of the shock resistance of the final material. The invention also relates to a polypropylene composition comprising a filler of solid particles, such as kaolin, having a high deflection modulus and good shock resistance.

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une composition à extruder comprenant un polymère et une charge de particules solides, comprenant une étape de mélange de la charge de particules solides avec des particules ou granulés dudit polymère, le cas échéant sous forme de suspension aqueuse. L'invention est particulièrement simple et mène, au niveau du matériau final, à de meilleures propriétés mécaniques que celles obtenues par incorporation directe de la charge solide dans le polymère ou copolymère. Cette amélioration est très sensible en particulier sur le plan de la résistance aux chocs du matériau final. L'invention concerne également une composition à base de polypropylène comprenant une charge de particules solides comme le kaolin, présentant un haut module de flexion et une bonne résistance aux chocs.
