Compositions for mercury dispensing in lamps are disclosed, comprising a first component comprising mercury and at least a metal selected between titanium and zirconium and a second component consisting of aluminum or either a compound or an alloy including at least 40% by weight of aluminum, wherein the weight ratio between the first and the second component is equal to or lower than 9:1; optionally, the compositions may also include a third component, selected among metals or oxides capable of reacting exothermically with aluminum .

L'invention concerne des compositions pour dégager du mercure dans des lampes, comprenant un premier composant comportant du mercure et au moins un métal choisi entre le titane et le zirconium, et un second composant constitué d'aluminium ou d'un composé ou d'un alliage comportant au moins 40 % en poids d'aluminium, le rapport pondéral entre les premier et second composants étant inférieur ou égal à 9 :1. Eventuellement, la composition peut également contenir un troisième composant choisi parmi des métaux ou des oxydes pouvant réagir de manière exothermique avec l'aluminium.
