Compounds of the formula (see above formula) wherein R1 and R2 each are independently hydrogen or phenyl, provided that R1 and R2 may not both be hydrogen; m is an integer ~rom 3 to 9; n is an integer from 0 to 3 and the sum of m+n is an integer from 5 to 12; Z is O, S, SO, SO2, -CH=CH- or a direct bond; A Image R3 is hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl; and R4 is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl or methylsulfonyl; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts or hydrates thereof are novel inhibitors of adenosine diphosphate and collagen-induced aggregation of human platelet-rich plasma and are particularly useful as inhibitors of mammalian blood platelet aggregation.
