ABSTRACT A method of forming a countersunk taper about one side of an opening in a work piece while forming a drawn raised portion upon the other side of the work piece, the method comprising: 1) preforming at least one opening in the work piece of predetermined shape and dimension 2) providing a forming tool for the formation of a countersink taper and raised portion on the side of the work piece away from the countersink, the forming tool being secured in a tool, the tool designed in use to draw down the material around the at least one opening of the work piece at the side of the work piece remote the forming tool forming a raised portion thereat, and to taper the perimeter of the at least one opening proximate the forming tool to allow the head of a fastener to be countersunk flush with the work piece when the fastener is installed in the opening.
