A service wire splice housing has an upper cap having a cavity therein and a lower aperture communicating with the cavity releasably securable for watertight releasably resealable mating onto a base, the base having a cavity extending between an upper aperture corresponding to the aperture in the cap, when the cap is releasably mated onto the base, and hollow telephone service wire receptacles extending from the base, the telephone service wire receptacles adapted to be watertight when service wires are journalled therethrough so as to extend through the cavity in the base and into the cavity in the cap wherein the service wires may be spliced.
Un boîtier d'épissure de câbles de branchement comprend une coiffe, où l'on retrouve une cavité, et une ouverture inférieure qui communique avec ladite cavité. Cette dernière peut être mariée à une base en vue d'un appariement refermable étanche, appariement pouvant aussi être défait. La base compend une cavité s'étendant entre une ouverture supérieure qui correspond à l'ouverture de la coiffe, lorsque la coiffe et la base sont appariées, et des prises vides de câbles de branchement de téléphones s'étendant de la base. Les prises de câbles de branchement sont adaptées pour être étanches lorsque des câbles de branchement y sont tourillonnés de façon à pouvoir dépasser la cavité dans la base pour aller rejoindre la cavité de la coiffe où les câbles de branchement peuvent être épissés.
