ABSTRACT The belt type squeeze filter has an entrance gap formed by a bow-shaped guideway. The guideway is a perforated plastic shell. This plastic has very favourable sliding properties. The bow-shaped entrance part extends approximately over a sector of 15'. Thus, the frictional stresses of the wire belt running on the low friction guideway will not be very large.
