The present invention relates to the method for treatment of tissue samples with proteolytic/histolytic additive collagenase or other similar protease prior to testing with an antigen capture immunoassay to identify cattle infected with Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV). The use of collagenase or other similar protease in antigen extraction step of the assay drastically increases accuracy of the assay, thus it allows for a more effective, reliable, quick, and cost effective way of identifying and thereby removing infected cattle and/or other animals from an otherwise uninfected herd.
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour traiter des échantillons de tissu avec une collagénase d'additif protéolytique/histolytique ou une autre protéase similaire avant un test avec un immunodosage de capture d'antigène pour identifier du bétail infecté par le virus de la diarrhée virale bovine (BVDV). L'utilisation de collagénase ou d'une autre protéase similaire dans une étape d'extraction d'antigène du dosage augmente de manière importante la précision du dosage, en permettant ainsi une manière plus efficace, fiable, rapide et rentable d'identifier et ainsi de supprimer du bétail et/ou d'autres mammifères infectés dans un troupeau qui sinon n'est pas infecté.
