The invention provides compositions comprising fat, fibre and optionally a stomach antacid for use in the treatment, prevention or amelioration of animal stereotypy. Methods of treatment, prevention or amelioration of animal stereotypy which comprise controlling the stomach pH of an animal are also disclosed.
