PI/5- 18772/A Cyanophenylpyrroles Abstract Compounds of the formula Image (I), in which n is the number 1,2,3,4 or 5, where, if n is greater than 1, the radicals R3 are identical or different; R1 is halo-C1-C9alkyl; R2 is halogen; R3 is hydrogen, cyano, nitro, halogen, C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy, C1-C4alkylthio, C1-C4alkanesulfinyl, C1-C4alkanesulfonyl, halo-C1-C4alkyl, halo-C1-C4alkoxy, halo-C1-C4alkylthio, halo- C1-C4alkanesulfinyl or halo-C1-C4alkanesulfonyl, and/or two substituents R3 which are bonded to adjacent C atoms of the phenyl ring together are a bridge selected from the group of bridges comprising -O-CH2-O-, -O-CH2-CH2-O-, -O-CH2-CH2-, -O-CH2-CH2-CH2- and -CH=CH-CH=CH-, unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy or halo-C1-C4alkyl; and R4 is hydrogen, an unsubstituted or substituted C1-C4alkyl group, C3-C4alkenyl, halo-C3-C4alkenyl, C3-C4alkynyl, cyano, C1-C4alkylthio, C1-C4alkanesulfinyl, C1-C4alkanesulfonyl, halo-C1-C4alkanesulfonyl, di-C1-C4alkylaminosulfonyl or di-C1-C4alkylaminocarbonyl, in free form or in salt form, can be used as agrochemical active ingredients and can be prepared in a manner known per se.
