A manually-guided asphalt resurfacing fluid applicator comprises a spray assembly including a fluid inlet for receiving pressurized resurfacing fluid, and a fluid outlet communicating with the fluid inlet for spraying the pressurized resurfacing fluid. A spray housing includes an open mouth, and an internal cavity opening into the open mouth and enclosing the fluid outlet, with the fluid outlet being configured for directing the pressurized resurfacing fluid towards the open mouth. The spray housing also includes a nylon wrap disposed adjacent the open mouth for reducing resurfacing fluid over spray emanating from the open mouth.
