Non-ionic amphiphilic, glycerol-derived compounds having formula (I), where R is a radical selected from the group consisting of C4-28 branched or linear alkenyl or alkyl radicals or mixtures thereof, or is a -CH2A grouping in which A is -OR', -SR, (II) where R' is a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbonated radical and n represents an average statistical value n &cir& NOt greater than 1 and equal to or less than 6; and, when R' is a -CH2A radical, n is also 2. These compounds are surface-active agents and some may form vesicles.

Composés amphiphiles non-ioniques dérivés du glycérol ayant pour formule: (voir formule I) formule dans laquelle R représente un radical pris dans le groupe formé par les radicaux alkyle ou alcényle, linéaires ou ramifiés en C4 - C28 ou leur mélanges, ou représente un groupement -CH2A dans lequel A représente -OR', -SR', (voir formule II) R' représentant un radical hydrocarboné saturé ou insaturé et n représente une valeur statistique moyenne ~ supérieur à 1 et au plus égale à 6 et, lorsque R' est un radical -CH2A, n est également une valeur égale à 2. Ces composés sont des agents tensioactifs et certains d'entre eux sont susceptibles de former des vésicules.
