A method is provided for manufacturing a semiconductive insulating shield for an electrical cable accessory. The method includes providing a substrate (12) having a desired contour in relation to the electrical cable accessory. The substrate (12) is then coated with an elastomeric semiconductive material (10) to form a coated substrate. An elastomeric insulating dielectric material (15) is then molded around the coated substrate, and the elastomeric semiconductive material (10) and elastomeric insulating dielectric material (15) are cured by applying heat and pressure sufficient to transfer the elastomeric semiconductive material (10) to the elastomeric insulating dielectric material (15) by chemical bonding. An outermost semiconductive jacket (20) may be included.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de fabriquer un blindage isolant semi-conducteur pour un accessoire de câble électrique. Le procédé décrit dans cette invention consiste à utiliser un substrat présentant un contour souhaité correspondant à l'accessoire de câble électrique. Le substrat est ensuite enrobé d'un matériau semi-conducteur élastomère de manière à former un substrat enrobé. Un matériau diélectrique isolant élastomère est ensuite moulé autour du substrat enrobé, puis le matériau semi-conducteur élastomère et le matériau diélectrique isolant élastomère sont durcis par application de chaleur et de pression suffisamment pour transférer le matériau semi-conducteur élastomère sur le matériau diélectrique isolant élastomère par liaison chimique.
