Disclosed is a composition for softening an absorbent tissue and tissue structures softened using the composition. The composition includes an effective amount of a softening active ingredient; a vehicle in which the softening active ingredient is dispersed; an electrolyte dissolved in the vehicle; a bilayer disrupter and a high polymer. The electrolyte and the bilayer disrupter cooperate to cause the viscosity of the composition to be less than the viscosity of a dispersion of the softening active ingredient in the vehicle alone. The high polymer adds "stringiness" to the composition opening the air pressure operating window for spray application of the softening composition. Preferably, the softening active ingredient is a quaternary ammonium compound with the formula: (R1)4-m - N+ - [(CH2)n - Y - R3]m X- the vehicle is water, the electrolyte is calcium chloride, the bilayer disrupter is a nonionic surfactant, and the high molecular weight polymer is a nonionic polyacrylamide.
L'invention concerne une composition pour adoucir un papier absorbant ainsi que des structures de papier adoucies au moyen de cette composition. La composition comprend une quantité efficace d'un composant actif adoucissant, un véhiculant dans lequel est dispersé le composant actif adoucissant, un électrolyte dissous dans le véhiculant, un agent de rupture à double couche et un polymère à poids moléculaire élevé. Sous l'effet de l'électrolyte et de l'agent de rupture à double couche, la viscosité de la composition est inférieure à celle de la dispersion du composant actif adoucissant dans le véhiculant pris séparément. Le polymère à poids moléculaire élevé confère à la composition un caractère <= fibreux >=, ce qui permet l'ouverture de l'orifice de fonctionnement par pression d'air pour appliquer la composition adoucissante par vaporisation. De préférence, le composant actif adoucissant est un composant à base d'ammonium quaternaire qui correspond à la formule suivante: (R¿1?)4-m - N?+¿ - [(CH¿2? )n - Y - R¿3? ]¿m? X?-¿, le véhiculant étant constitué d'eau, l'électrolyte de chlorure de calcium, l'agent de rupture à double couche de tensio-actif non ionique, et le polymère à poids moléculaire élevé de polyacrylamide non ionique.
