The sun's solar energy is an unlimited source of power. There are numerous uses for solar energy from powering satellites, to watches, calculators and transportation signs on highways. Presented herein are 3 novel uses for a cell phone fitted with a Specialized Information Chip(SIC). The first model is a 100% solar powered cell phone. The second model is a hybrid 50% solar: 50% battery powered cell phone. The third model is a conventional battery operated cellular phone. For either of the three models an optional GPS can be an added feature. Models 1 and 2 both take environmental concerns into account like saving electricity consumption, decreasing wastage to the environment, increasing consumer usability and enjoyment. However, the differences they encompass allow for usage under diverse circumstances. The two modes focus on two different types of geographic locations around the world. The 100% solar mode would be utilized in very sunlit countries globally. The hybrid mode would come in effect in countries whereby sunlight is minimized. The regular mode would come in effect anywhere worldwide. For each of the models, the cellular phone is fitted with a specialized information chip that contain 2 large data bases of information specific for one city at a time. For example a chip for Toronto would contain data base 1 and data base 2. Data base 1 would consist of all the personal/business names, numbers and addresses. Data base 2 would consist of Points of Interest information e.g. accommodation, car rental, sporting events, entertainment, food establishments, etc. This chip would interact with the windows based operating system platform for the phone. This chip would be very user friendly for the consumer to pop in and pop out in a matter of seconds. The specialized information chip would be available for every large city in the world, allowing travelers and citizens alike more enjoyment from their leisure time.
