Apparatus, and an associated method, for paging an access terminal in a radio communication system. Dynamic configuration and reconfiguration of a quick page message is provided. Its configuration is dependent upon paging load in the system. Hash values are selected and used pursuant to the configuration, and use, of the message. A first hash value is selected within a first range. And, a second hash value is selected within a second range. The second range from which the second hash value is selected does not include the first hash value.
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé associé d'appel par radiomessagerie d'un terminal d'accès dans un système de communication radio. La configuration et la reconfiguration dynamiques d'un message de radiomessagerie rapide sont exécutées. Sa configuration dépend de la charge de radiomessagerie du système. Des valeurs de hachage sont sélectionnées et utilisées selon la configuration et l'utilisation du message. Une première valeur de hachage est sélectionnée dans une première gamme et une seconde valeur de hachage est sélectionnée dans une seconde gamme. La seconde gamme dans laquelle est sélectionnée la seconde valeur de hachage ne comprend pas la première valeur de hachage.
