The invention relates to an intravertebral prosthesis, in particular for the cervical vertebral column, essentially comprising a first cover plate (1), for connection to a first vertebral body, a second cover plate (2), for connection to a second vertebral body and a prosthesis centre (10), which forms a joint with the second cover plate (2). The prosthesis centre (10) is held by a seat (9, 5) in the first cover plate (1), embodied as a guide device (7, 11, 12). The centre (10) may be inserted into the guide device from the ventral side in the AP direction (A) relative to the first cover plate (1). A stop plate (14) is provided on the ventral edge of the first cover plate which may be displaced in a sliding guide (18), between a locking and a non-locking position.

L'invention concerne une prothèse intervertébrale, en particulier pour la colonne cervicale, essentiellement constituée d'une première plaque de recouvrement (1) à relier à un premier corps vertébral, d'une deuxième plaque de recouvrement (2) à relier au deuxième corps vertébral et d'un noyau (10), formant une articulation avec la deuxième plaque de recouvrement (2). Ce noyau (10) de prothèse est maintenu par un siège (9, 5) de la première plaque de recouvrement (1), conçu sous la forme d'un dispositif de guidage (7, 11, 12). Ce noyau (10) peut être glissé dans le dispositif de guidage par le côté ventral dans le sens AP (A) par rapport à la première plaque de recouvrement (1). Une plaque de butée (14), placée sur le bord ventral de cette première plaque de recouvrement, peut être déplacée dans un coulisseau (18) entre une position de blocage et une position de libération.
