An implantable device (10, 100, 800) for controlling the circumference of internal anatomic passages corrects physiologic dysfunctions resulting from a structural lumen which is either too large or too small. Implants are disclosed which employ various means for adjusting and maintaining the size of an orifice to which they are attached. Systems permit the implants to be implanted using minimally invasive procedures and permit final adjustments to the circumference of the implants after the resumption of normal flow of anatomic fluids in situ. Methods are disclosed for using the implants to treat heart valve abnormalities, gastroesophageal abnormalities, anal incontinence, and the like.
L'invention concerne un dispositif implantable permettant de régler le diamètre de passages corporels internes pour corriger des dysfonctionnements physiologiques induits par une lumière structurale trop large ou trop étroite. L'invention concerne également des implants comportant divers moyens servant à régler et à maintenir le diamètre d'un orifice dans lequel ils sont fixés. Des systèmes à effraction minimale permettent de mettre en place les implants et d'effectuer les réglages finaux au niveau du diamètre des implants, après la reprise de l'écoulement normal des liquides organiques in situ. L'invention concerne également des méthodes faisant intervenir ces implants, destinées au traitement de valvulopathies, d'anomalies gastro-oesophagiennes, de l'incontinence anale et analogue.
