A coated seed for use in agriculture, afforestation, and re-vegetation is provided. The coated seed (10) includes a seed (12) such as positive photoblastic seed and a thin layer (16) coated on the seed. The thin layer (16) further includes a pigment (14) which selectively allows light rays having wavelengths of about 570 to about 700 nm to pass therethrough. In another aspect of the invention, the thin layer includes a pigment which selectively reflects light rays having wavelengths of about 420 to about 520 nm.

L'invention concerne une semence enrobée destinée à l'agriculture, au boisement et à la replantation végétale. Cette semence (10) enrobée comprend un semence (12) tel qu'une semence photoblastique positive et une couche (16) fine enrobant la semence. Cette couche (16) fine comprend en outre un pigment (14) qui permet le passage sélectif de rayons lumineux présentant des longueurs d'ondes comprises entre 570 et 700 nm environ. Dans une autre forme d'exécution, la couche fine contient un pigment qui réfléchit de manière sélective les rayons lumineux présentant des longueurs d'ondes comprises entre 420 et 520 nm.
