The distribution unit for distributing at least one liquid or cream product consists of a container and a distribution head, the distribution head comprising at least one distribution channel that is closed at the end; the opening outward of the said channel is controlled by a shut-off mechanism comprising a flexible valve that is elastically deformable under the pressure of the product to be distributed and which cooperates at rest in a non-impervious manner with a rigid fixed base. The whole is characterized by the fact that the valve consists of an elastic nipple with a needle valve at its extremity cooperating with the base, the nipple being crushed by pressure from the product to be distributed, so that the needle valve leaves the base and then returns to the rest position in cooperation with the base when distribution is halted.
