Abstract of the Disclosure A scaffolding support system for use in the construction of buildings comprising a plurality of linear support units and support corner units, a working platform and guard rails. Each of the support units hooks over and is retained on the walls of the building at the top of, or at a mid-part of, the walls. Each support unit has a vertical member abutting the wall which transfers the horizontal thrust caused by the weight on the working platform over the outer surface of the wall. Vertical members abut the inner wall surface and retain the support on the wall. Corner units have perpendicularly aligned inner and outer vertical members. The system is free of the ground, easy to erect and dismantle, and preferably formed of aluminum to result in readily transportable lightweight units. The system allows of ready access to the wall surface below the platform.
