The invention concerns a fiber application machine comprising a system for moving a fiber application head, fiber storing means, and fiber conveying means from said storing means to the application head, and at least one tension limiting system (109), arranged between the fiber storing means and the application head, including at least two mutually parallel cylinders (91, 191), whereon a plurality of fibers are capable of being urged to be partly wound, and driving means (192, 193) for rotating said cylinders, substantially at the same speed, said driving means being automatically controlled by a control unit of the machine, such that the peripheral speeds of the cylinders are higher than the moving speed of the fibers at the application roll.

La présente invention concerne une machine d'application de fibres comprenant un système de déplacement d'une tête d'application de fibre, des moyens de stockage de fibres, et des moyens d'acheminement des fibres desdits moyens de stockage vers la tête d'application, et au moins un système limiteur de tension (109) , disposé entre les moyens de stockage des fibres et la tête d'application, comportant au moins deux cylindres (91, 191) parallèles entre eux, sur lesquels une pluralité de fibres sont aptes à venir s'enrouler partiellement, et des moyens d'entraînement (192, 193) pour entraîner en rotation lesdits cylindres, sensiblement à la même vitesse, lesdits moyens d'entraînement étant asservis par une unité de commande de la machine, de sorte que les- vitesses périphériques des cylindres soient supérieures aux vitesses de défilement des fibres au niveau du rouleau d'application.
