The invention relates to a fuel cell system. Conventional fuel cell systems are operated by supplying them with fuel and air that supplies the oxygen required for the operation of the fuel cells in the form of an oxidant. The aim of the invention is to prevent the fuel cell module (10) from damages that might be caused when the motor vehicle is operated in different environments with possibly high pollution levels. To this end, the air is purified before it is supplied to the fuel cell system by means of an air purification device (50) associated with the fuel cell module (10).

Le système de cellules de combustible est généralement alimenté, d'une part, en combustible et, d'autre part, en air. Cet air apporte l'oxygène nécessaire au fonctionnement des cellules de combustible. Pour empêcher tout endommagement d'un module de cellules de combustible (10) pouvant survenir lorsque le véhicule est en marche dans différents environnements en cas de charges polluantes éventuellement élevées, l'air est nettoyé avant son utilisation dans le système de cellules de combustible.
