A pants-type diaper (50), is provided which is equipped with leg-hole elastics (25, 26) which effectively encircle the leg-holes without traversing the crotch region. Also provided are methods for producing such diapers. Typical products of this type are provided with an outer laminate, formed of an inner liner material (11), and an outer backsheet material (12) between which the leg-hole elastics are disposed. The invention provides for the removal of a strip of inner liner material (22, 24) carrying undesirable crotch-region elastic strands prior to lamination or combining of the remaining inner liner with a complementary outer layer backsheet.

L'invention concerne une couche de type culotte dotée d'élastiques pour les trous destinés aux jambes lesquels encerclent efficacement les trous destinés aux jambes sans traverser la région de l'entrejambe. L'invention concerne également des procédés de production de telles couches. Les produits typiques de ce type présentent un stratifié extérieur, composé d'une matière de revêtement intérieure et d'une matière de feuille de support extérieure entre lesquelles sont disposés les élastiques des trous destinés aux jambes.
