The invention relates to a toner and to a method for producing a plastic toner, especially for electrophotography. The inventive toner is characterized in that as the base material for the toner a powder for powder coating is used that has a grain size distribution of from 1 to 20 µm, especially 5 to 15 µm, and that is provided with additional charge control agents and additives on the surface. According to the inventive method, already convected powders for powder coating are used as the base material. In a mixing step, said powders are mixed with charge control agents (CCA) for improving surface charge and optionally in a further mixing step with additives for improving the flow properties, the adhesive power and the agglomeration propensity.

L'invention concerne un toner et un procédé de fabrication d'un toner synthétique, notamment pour l'électrophotographie. Ce toner est caractérisé en ce que le matériau de base utilisé est de la poudre pour la couche de revêtement électrostatique, cette poudre ayant une distribution granulométrique de 1 à 20 µm, en particulier de 5 à 15 µm, et comportant en surface des additifs et des matières de contrôle de charge supplémentaires. Selon le procédé de l'invention, les matériaux de base sont des poudres de convection pour la couche de revêtement électrostatique, ces poudres étant dotées, lors d'une première opération de mélange, de matières de contrôle de charge pour améliorer la charge superficielle, et éventuellement, lors d'une autre opération de mélange, d'additifs pour améliorer l'aptitude à l'écoulement et à l'adhérence ainsi que la tendance à l'agglomération.
