Described is a method of separating a catalyst from a mixture of the catalyst with oligomers of vinyl oxirane such as is produced in the isomerization of vinyl oxirane to 2,5-dihydrofuran and from which practically all the low- boiling constituents have been distilled off. The mixture of oligomers and catalyst, consisting essentially of: a) an onium iodide, b) a Lewis acid selected from the group consisting of the chloride, bromide and iodide of cobalt, bismuth, tin and zinc and optionally and c) a donor ligand is intensively mixed (1) with a hydrocarbon or chlorohydrocarbon having 5 to 14 carbon atoms; (2) of the two phases formed, the phase containing the catalyst is separated off; and (3) the catalyst is recovered by distilling off the solvent.
L'invention concerne un procédé consistant à séparer un catalyseur d'un mélange comprenant des oligomères de vinyloxirane, tel que celui produit lors d'une isomérisation en 2,5-dihydrofurane, et duquel quasiment tous les constituants à bas point d'ébullition ont été éliminés par distillation. Le mélange d'oligomères et d'un catalyseur composé principalement: a) d'un iodure d'onium, b) d'un acide de Lewis choisi parmi le chlorure, le bromure ou l'iodure de cobalt, de bismuth, d'étain ou de zinc et éventuellement et c) d'un ligand donneur est intensivement mélangé (1) à un hydrocarbure ou un hydrocarbure chloré avec 5 à 14 atomes de carbone; (2), la phase contenant le catalyseur est séparée des deux phases ainsi formées; et (3) le catalyseur est récupéré par distillation du solvant.
