Disclosed is a method of preparing a low density CO2-blown foam that has a high closed cell content. Foams prepared by the method of the present invention are useful in pour-in-place applications such as garage doors, doors, walk-in coolers, portable coolers, refrigerators, and water heaters, for example. Use of the method described herein reduces foam leakage from a mold during pour-in-place operations, and thus reduces waste and the cost associated with producing foam-filled articles made using a pour-in-place procedure.

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une mousse soufflée au CO¿2? à¿ ?faible densité qui présente une teneur élevée en alvéoles fermées. Les mousses préparées selon ce procédé sont utiles dans des applications de coulée sur place, comme par exemple des portes de garage, des portes, des chambres froides, des réfrigérateurs portables, des réfrigérateurs et des chauffe-eau. On peut ainsi réduire les fuites de mousse d'un moule pendant la coulée sur place et réduire de ce fait les déchets et les coûts associés à la production d'articles remplis de mousse fabriqués par coulée sur place.
