A closed-loop reverse-link power control algorithm for a frequency hopping orthogonal frequency division multiple access (FH-OFDMA) system is described. The power control algorithm adjusts the user's transmit power based on effective carrier-to-interference (C/I) and Received-Power-Over-Thermal (RpOT) measurements. The algorithm is inherently stable and is effective for FH-OFDMA systems with retransmissions.

L'invention concerne un algorithme de contrôle de puissance de liaison inverse en boucle fermée pour un multiplexage par répartition orthogonale de sauts de fréquence (FH-OFDMA). L'algorithme de contrôle de puissance règle la puissance de transmission d'utilisateur en fonction du rapport porteuse/interférence efficace (C/I) et de mesures de puissance reçue sur puissance thermique (RpOT). Cet algorithme est stable et efficace de manière inhérente pour les systèmes FH-OFDMA présentant des retransmissions.
