Enhanced synthesis of transition metal dithiolene complexes is described. [1,2- bis(Trifluoromethyl)ethylene-1,2-dithiolato]nickel selectively and reversibly binds olefins (C2 to C6). Under the same conditions, the complex does not react with H2O, C2H2, CO, and H2, and only slowly reacts with H2S at high concentrations. The compositions are useful for selective removal and recovery of olefins from process streams containing contaminants such as CO and H2S.
L'invention concerne la synthèse améliorée de complexes de dithiolène de métal de transition. Le [1,2-bis(trifluorométhyl)éthylène-1,2-dithiolato]nickel lie de manière sélective et réversible les oléfines (C¿2? à C¿6?). Dans les mêmes conditions, le complexe ne réagit pas avec H¿2?O, C¿2?H¿2?, CO et H¿2? et ne réagit que lentement avec H¿2?S à des concentrations élevées. Ces compositions sont utiles pour la suppression et la récupération sélectives d'oléfines dans des cycles d'un procédé qui contiennent des contaminants tels que CO et H¿2?S.
