A bag dispenser (10), for separating and dispensing plastic bags (22, 23) from a roll of bags (20) where one end is attached to the top of the next bag by perforation lines (24) with a slot (25) therebetween. The bags (22, 23) are dispensed from a device (30) comprising a wire frame formed into arcuate channels (34, 34') to support the core (26) that the series of bags are rolled onto. The dispenser (10) includes a second tensioning member (40, 40') attached to a support member (32) and disposed at an angle thereto to provide tension to the edges of the roll of bags (20) as the core passes (26) through the channel passageway as bags are removed from the roll. Spaced apart from the support is a symmetric separating tongue (42). The tongue (42) will engage the slot (25) regardless of whether the bags are drawn over or under the tongue (42). As the user pulls on the bags (22, 23), a tension is created by the brake and the user to deflect the tongue (42) which remains deflected until the tongue (42) engages the slot (25). Thus, when the separator engages the slot (25), the tongue (42) recoils through its normal position to facilitate the separation of the two bags (22, 23). The dispenser (10) may also include core retaining members (38), located at the closed end of the arcuate channels (34) to keep the core (26) of smaller rolls from popping out and to retard rotation of the core.
Un distributeur (10) de sacs permet de séparer et de distribuer des sacs en plastique (22, 23) depuis un rouleau de sacs (20) dans lequel l'extrémité d'un sac est attachée au sommet du suivant par des lignes de perforation (24) séparées par une fente (25). Les sacs (22, 23) sont distribués par un dispositif (30) comportant un cadre constitué d'un câble métallique en forme de canaux arqués (34, 34'), qui supporte la partie centrale (26) sur laquelle sont enroulés les séries de sacs. Le distributeur (10) comporte un second élément de tension (40, 40') fixé sur un élément support (32) et faisant un angle par rapport à ce dernier, ce qui lui permet d'exercer une tension sur les bords du rouleau de sacs (20) quand la partie centrale de ce dernier (26) passe dans le passage délimité par les barres au moment où on enlève les sacs du rouleau. Une languette de séparation symétrique (42), disposée à distance du support, s'engage dans la fente (25), que l'on tire les sacs par-dessus ou par-dessous la languette (42). Quand l'utilisateur tire sur les sacs (22, 23), il crée, en même temps que le frein, une tension qui défléchit la languette (42), celle-ci restant défléchie jusqu'au moment où elle (42) s'engage dans la fente (25). Ainsi, quand le séparateur s'engage dans la fente (25), la languette (42) revient dans sa position normale, ce qui facilite la séparation des deux sacs (22, 23). Le distributeur (10) peut également comporter des éléments de retenue (38) de la partie centrale, situés à l'extrémité fermée des canaux arqués (34), qui empêchent la sortie de la partie centrale (26) des rouleaux plus petits et ralentissent sa rotation.
