An image decoding device performs expansion processing and reverse orthogonal conversion in fixed block units with respect to image compression data. The image decoding device is provided with an error block detection section which receives a threshold value and an image signal in frequency bands. The error block detection section determines whether or not an error is contained in block data based on the threshold value and the image signal in the frequency domain and outputs a detection state in the block data. Also, provided is an image encoding device for dividing image data into block units, performing orthogonal conversion and compression coding on each block unit. The image encoding device receives a threshold value and an image signal in a frequency domain and outputs an image signal with an added limit in a frequency domain based on a predetermined threshold value and an image signal in a frequency domain. It outputs encoded, compressed image data with the limit imposed. obtained as a result of encoding the received image signal.
L'invention concerne un décodeur d'image qui décomprime des données image comprimées pour former des unités correspondant à un bloc prédéterminé au moyen d'une conversion orthogonale inverse.
