Continuous printing of polychromatic designs on textiles is achieved by horizontally conveying the fabric at a preset speed and direction and by supplying pre-established quantities of liquid colorants of different colours and by applying these colorants of different colours to predetermined points on the fabric simultaneously so as to obtain particular chromatic effects. The device includes means to show, on a video monitor, the image of the pictorial effect to be reproduced.
