This invention is an aid in stopping bleeding in sites which are subject to long-term and excessive bleeding. It is made up of material which is 12" long by 1.25" wide (see figure 1). The material is flexible, stretchable elastic type material, with velcro-type fabric on each end to allow the securing of the SiteMinder around the site area. The part of the material that is placed directly over the site area has a button sewn on (see figure 2). The bottom side (with button) is then placed directly on the site area, which creates even, artificial pressure on the effected site, when properly secured. The opposite side to the button is covered with fabric paint (see figure 1) that acts a protection to the sewing thread and adds a decorative effective to the material (shown as a heart in figure 1). The standard size described here is designed for use on adult patient forearms. Smaller sizes can be made for children and larger sizes can be made to measure to fit other areas of the body (e.g. legs, upper-arms, etc.)
