A single phase aqueous gel composition comprising 0.05-50 % of a polysaccharide gellant, and 1-30 % of an antiperspirant active ingredient solubilized in the aqueous single phase. A water and oil emulsion comprising a gelled aqueous phase comprising a polysaccharide gellant and an antiperspirant active ingredient solubilized in the aqueous single phase; and an oil phase. A method for preparing an emulsion antiperspirant or deodorant composition comprising preparing a first aqueous solution of antiperspirant or deodorant active, preparing a second aqueous solution of polysaccharide gellant, emulsifying the second aqueous solution in an oily phase to form an emulsion, combining the first aqueous solution and the emulsion so that the first and second aqueous solutions form a single homogeneous phase in the emulsion; and pouring the mixture into containers.

Cette invention a trait à une composition sous forme de gel à phase aqueuse unique comportant de 0,05 à 50 % d'un gélifiant polysaccharide et de 1 à 30 % d'un ingrédient actif antisudorifique solubilisé dans la phase aqueuse unique. Elle concerne également une émulsion eau et huile comportant une phase aqueuse gélifiée, refermant un gélifiant polysaccharide ainsi qu'un ingrédient actif antisudorifique solubilisé, et une phase huileuse. Cette invention porte, de surcroît, sur un procédé de préparation d'une composition antisudorifique ou déodorante, lequel procédé consiste à préparer une première solution aqueuse d'un agent actif antisudorifique ou déodorant, à préparer une seconde solution d'un gélifiant polysaccharide, à mettre en émulsion la seconde solution aqueuse dans une phase huileuse et à associer la première solution aqueuse à l'émulsion de manière que la première et la seconde solution aqueuse constituent une seule phase homogène dans l'émulsion. Ce mélange est alors versé dans des contenants.
