A method and system (10) provides a face-to-face video conference utilizing a video mirror comprising a first station having a first predetermined sensory setting; a second station having a second predetermined sensory setting; and an imaging system for capturing an image or sub-image at the first station, displaying at least a portion of said image or sub-image at the second station. The imaging system includes a differentiator for generating a differential signal (101) in response to a comparison of a differential reference signal to an input signal generally corresponding to the image captured at the first station. The imaging system also include a compositor for compositing the differential signal with one or more other image signals and/or a predetermined composite signal to provide a composited video image (97) which appears visually contiguous and seamless.
Procédé et dispositif (10) permettant de réaliser une conférence vidéo face-à-face au moyen d'un miroir vidéo. Le dispositif comprend une première station possédant un premier réglage sensoriel prédéterminé, une deuxième station possédant un deuxième réglage sensoriel prédéterminé et un système d'imagerie servant à capter une image ou une sous-image au niveau de la première station et à afficher au moins une partie de ladite image ou de ladite sous-image au niveau de la deuxième station. Ce système d'imagerie comprend un ensemble de différenciation servant à générer un signal différentiel (101) en réponse à une comparaison entre un signal différentiel de référence et un signal d'entrée correspondant généralement à l'image captée au niveau de la première station. Le système d'imagerie comprend également un ensemble de composition servant à combiner le signal différentiel avec un ou plusieurs autres signaux d'image et/ou un signal composite prédéterminé, afin d'obtenir une image vidéo composite (97), contiguë et homogène lorsqu'on la visualise.
