A tire monitor system includes a tire monitor sensor unit that has a tire pressure detector, a coupler and a tire valve. The tire valve operates as an antenna to transmit tire dat from the tire pressure detector. The coupler provides a capacitive coupling that removably couples the tire pressure detector and the tire valve. The coupler includes two metal layers separated by a dielectric layer. The two metal layers may be formed by the tire valve and a connection tube.

L'invention concerne un système de surveillance équipé d'une unité de détection de surveillance de pneu comprenant un détecteur de pression de pneu, un coupleur et une valve de pneu. La valve de pneu sert d'antenne pour transmettre des données concernant le pneu du détecteur de pression du pneu. Le coupleur assure un couplage capacitif couplant de manière amovible le détecteur de pression du pneu et la valve du pneu. Le coupleur comprend deux couches métalliques séparées par une couche diélectrique. Les deux couches métalliques peuvent être formées par la valve du pneu et un tube de connexion.
