A method and apparatus for assisting in obtaining a complete filling of a moving container vehicle with a flowable load. The apparatus comprises a baffle having an upper edge and a lower edge and a baffle positioning means. The method provides that the baffle position means initially sets the baffle at an angle with the lower edge thereof just inside the forward end of the container to thereby constrict the flow of the material. As the container is moved forward the baffle is also moved forward thereby providing less constriction to the flow and ultimately the baffle is moved to a position in which there is no constriction of the flow.
Méthode et appareil pour aider à l'obtention d'un remplissage complet d'un véhicule-contenant en mouvement avec charge coulante. L'appareil comprend une chicane avec un bord supérieur et un bord inférieur ainsi qu'un dispositif de positionnement de chicane. Selon la méthode, le moyen de positionnement de chicane installe initialement la chicane avec un angle dont le bord inférieur est situé juste à l'intérieur de l'extrémité avant du contenant pour restreindre ainsi l'écoulement de matériel. Lorsque le contenant est déplacé vers l'avant, la chicane se déplace également vers l'avant réduisant ainsi la restriction de l'écoulement et, finalement, la chicane est déplacée vers une position dans laquelle il n'y a pas de restriction de l'écoulement.
