A system for processing tissue biopsy samples during a histopathology process, including a tissue carrier (40) constructed to carry a tissue biopsy sample (54) during at least one step of the histopathology process, a database storing information associated with the tissue biopsy sample and associated with a tissue processing procedure, a machine-readable indicator (50) physically associated with the tissue carrier (40), the machine-readable indicator (50) including a machine- readable reference identified with the tissue biopsy sample (54), and an electronic control (48) operative to read the reference, access the information in the database using the reference, and implement at least a portion of the tissue processing procedure in accordance with the accessed information.
L'invention concerne un système destiné à traiter des échantillons de biopsie de tissu au cours d'un processus d'histopathologie et comprenant un porte-tissu (40) construit pour porter un échantillon (54) de biopsie de tissu pendant au moins une étape du processus d'histopathologie, une base de données conservant des informations associées à l'échantillon de biopsie de tissu et associées à une procédure de traitement du tissu, un indicateur (50) lisible par la machine et associé physiquement au porte-tissu (40), ledit indicateur (50) lisible par la machine comprenant une référence lisible par la machine et identifiée avec l'échantillon (54) de biopsie de tissu, et une commande électronique (48) apte à lire la référence, à accéder aux informations contenues dans la base de données à l'aide de la référence et à mettre en uvre au moins une partie de la procédure de traitement du tissu en accord avec les informations auxquelles elle a accédé.
