Known modulator/demodulator arrangements supply data originating from a data terminal, via transceiving means and via modulation/demodulation means, to a transceiver arrangement, like a mobile station or a cordless handset, via a connection which for example is formed by a coupling to microphone connections and loudspeaker connections associated with the transceiver arrangement, and control the transceiver arrangement for setting up a radio connection, via further transceiving means and via a further connection, which for example is formed by a coupling to the keyboard connections and the display connections associated with the transceiver arrangement. By providing the modulator/demodulator arrangement with switching means for activating a coupling present via one of both connections and de-activating a coupling present via the other one, the transceiver arrangement does not have to possess any knowledge about which of both connections is to be used. Due to this, an ordinary transceiver arrangement could be used, without complex adaptations being necessary.
Un dispositif modulateur-démodulateur de type connu achemine des données émises par un poste terminal, par l'intermédiaire de moyens d'émission-réception et par l'intermédiaire de moyens de modulation-démodulation, jusqu'à un dispositif émetteur-récepteur, tels qu'une station mobile ou un combiné sans fil, par l'intermédiaire d'une connexion réalisée, par exemple, sous la forme d'un raccordement avec les connexions du micro et les connexions de l'écouteur associées au dispositif émetteur-récepteur, et commande le dispositif émetteur-récepteur afin d'établir une connexion radio, par l'intermédiaire d'autres moyens d'émission-réception et par l'intermédiaire d'une autre connexion, qui est réalisée, par exemple, sous la forme d'un raccordement aux connexions du clavier et aux connexions du dispositif d'affichage associées au dispositif émetteur-récepteur. Si un tel dispositif modulateur-démodulateur est pourvu de moyens de commutation servant à activer un raccordement existant par l'intermédiaire d'une des deux connexions et à désactiver un raccordement existant par l'intermédiaire de l'autre connexion, le dispositif émetteur-récepteur n'a plus à savoir laquelle des deux connexions doit être utilisée. Ainsi, il est possible d'utiliser un dispositif émetteur-récepteur ordinaire, sans qu'il soit nécessaire de procéder à des adaptations complexes.
