The present invention relates to an apparatus for stretching the vertebral column of a person, said apparatus comprising a table (1) equipped with a traction system having fixing means (24) for connecting a cable (21) to the person's feet, and traction means (23) acting on the cable to effect traction on the legs in order to stretch the legs and the column, and oscillating means (4) that act on the cable so as to obtain movements of lateral oscillation of both legs, said traction means and said oscillation means being able to be controlled by a control unit (3) in order to combine movements of lateral oscillation and movements of traction. This apparatus can be used to effect movements of lateral oscillation in order to achieve muscle relaxation in the region of the pelvis and the lumbar region, and thereby make the subsequent stretching of the lower back region more effective.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif pour effectuer un étirement de la colonne vertébrale d'une personne, comprenant une table (1) équipée d'un système de traction comportant des moyens de fixation (24) pour relier un câble (21) aux pieds de la personne et des moyens de traction (23) agissant sur le câble pour effectuer une traction sur les jambes afin d'étirer les jambes et la colonne, et des moyens d'oscillation (4) agissant sur le câble pour obtenir des mouvements d'oscillation latérale des deux jambes, lesdits moyens de traction et lesdits moyens d'oscillation étant aptes à être commandés par une unité de contrôle (3) pour combiner des mouvements d'oscillation latérale et des mouvements de traction. Ce dispositif peut être utilisé pour effectuer des mouvements d'oscillation latérale afin d'obtenir un relâchement musculaire au niveau du bassin et de la zone lombaire, et ainsi rendre l' étirement ultérieur au niveau du bas du dos plus efficace.
