Method and apparatus for longitudinal compression testing of board product, especially cardboard, applies a displacement at a constant rate to an edge of a liner face of the board held in retaining means. Regular observations of load and deflection are made until the sample fails. Pivoting clamps prevent the board failing at the clamp edges.

Procédé et appareil destinés à tester la compression longitudinale de produits en carton par déplacement à une vitesse constante du bord de la doublure maintenue dans un dispositif de retenue.
