The present invention relates to a novel protein designated 20P2H8 which shares homology with several heteroge- nous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). A full length approximately 3600 bp 20P2H8 cDNA (SEQ ID NO:10), encoding a 517 amino acid open reading frame (SEQ ID NO:2), is provided herein.
