When the phenomenon that the nuclear spin returns to a steady state is observed by the IR (inversion Recovery) method, a 90-degree pulse is applied after a period of time .tau. elapses from application of a 180-degree pulse. After a reception delay time Dd elapsed from the application of the 90-degree pulse, an FID signal processing is started. Since most of FID signals having high temporal attenuation ratios, out of the FID signals from protons in a plurality of environments in a solid sample, disappear while the reception delay time Dd elapses. The FID signals from the protons in the environment to be measured can be easily selected and extracted from the other FID signals.
