During the installation of bridges and culverts, contractors are required to work in the water: excavation, invert adjustment, coffer dams, water derivation in order to work in dry conditions, and backfilling. These methods produce a great deal of sedimentation in the water, resulting in considerable environmental damage downstream. The present ~arch culvert with triangular bases~solves these problems. The arch or semi-circular culvert is equipped with a triangle-shaped base on either side. The triangles form shoes which rest upon the banks, the soil composition of which can thus differ. The invention is effective and original in its simplicity in that the ~arch culvert with triangular bases~makes it possible to install a number of culverts of various sizes in different varieties of soils without the need for excavation, backfilling or work of any kind in the watercourse. -3-.
